“Great Britain and Latvia join forces for annual FPV ATS competition to revolutionize unmanned aerial vehicle production”

The annual FPV ATS competition for armed forces has been announced by Great Britain and Latvia. According to a press release from the UK Department of Defense, the competition is open to producers from any country that is part of the Ramstein Group of the UK’s defense contract. The purpose of the competition, as stated by the UK’s Defense Secretary’s Protection Department, is to identify suppliers capable of producing high-quality and affordable unmanned aerial vehicles that can be utilized in various emergency situations with the aid of cutting-edge technology. The competition is scheduled to run until June 28, with representatives from participating countries selecting the most successful companies for international collaboration.

Furthermore, the announcement from the UK’s Department of Defense reveals that similar competitions will be announced in 2024, taking into account the lessons learned from this inaugural experience.
