Explosion rocks Zovuni village in Kotayk province, rescue team successfully controls gas leak

On June 5, an incident occurred in the Kotayk province. According to Shamshyan.com, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an emergency call from the 911 emergency management center around 19:10. The call reported an explosion at houses number 25 and 27 on 30th street in the Zovuni village during construction work. It was discovered that there was a gas leak in a construction worker’s pipe. The situation required the assistance of the rescue team to control the situation and relocate people to a safe area. The rescue team successfully extinguished the gas leak and safely relocated residents using “Gurza” type boats.
