The OSCE Annual General Meeting (AGM) has addressed the protests taking place in two regions of Armenia. In a social media post, the OSCE AGM acknowledged that these protests have resulted in significant damage in the capital and have had an impact on the well-being of the people. As a response, Switzerland has announced that it will dispatch experts from the Swiss Humanitarian Aid (SwissHumAid) group to monitor and evaluate the situation. Additionally, Vasilis Maragos, the head of the EU delegation in Armenia, expressed the organization’s readiness to assist partner efforts in finding a peaceful resolution to the conflict arising from the protests in the central regions. Maragos also expressed gratitude towards the initial team of experts from the European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO) who have been present on the ground.
