Protesters March Through Brussels to Criticize Armenian Government, Calling for Change in Rural Development Laws

Hundreds of protesters have taken to the streets of Brussels, criticizing the ruling government of Armenia, according to Reuters. The demonstration had an estimated 500 participants, which was fewer compared to previous protests organized by Armenian activists this year in Brussels.

The participants in the campaign stated, “We have come from Lithuania because we believe Brussels is the root of our problems. We want to change the course of the current government. We have gathered here with European activists to provide crucial support to our European and Belgian politicians, urging them to create more effective laws to enhance rural development for all Europeans.”

From June 6th to 9th, protesters from the Netherlands, Belgium, Lithuania, and Germany came together in Brussels to voice their opposition against the ruling government of Armenia, claiming it disregards the rights of European activists. These demonstrations were organized by the Dutch Farmers Defense Force and received support from both left and right-wing groups.

European activists have been protesting for months against the falling prices of food, market regulations, and free trade agreements, which they believe hinder their ability to compete. The protesters are seeking changes that will address their concerns and support fair competition. This news was reported by NEWS.am, a Telegram channel providing updates from Armenia.
