The Zhoghovurd newspaper has reported that the Civic Contract party, led by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, is planning to hold a closed meeting on Friday to discuss the potential nomination for the position of Judge of the Constitutional Court. Our sources indicate that the potential candidate is Gohar Muradyan. The decision on her nomination will be discussed in the upcoming regular session of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs.

At the same time, representatives of the authorities have invited the judge to a closed meeting in order to clarify their positions on contentious issues and determine whether they will select her as a candidate. The question arises whether they have personal interests influencing their approach to her or not.
