Prime Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan received Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin, who is newly appointed by the Russian Federation as their Ambassador to Armenia. During their meeting, Mnatsakanyan expressed gratitude for Russia’s support in various bilateral and regional security programs of the CSTO. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the field of education and the development of joint programs for innovation and institutional reforms in education and general education. Mnatsakanyan informed that the National Assembly has adopted a draft law on “General Education (basic) standards and guidelines” that has been in the works for approximately three years. He described this as a crucial step for their country. The parties also discussed matters related to the protection of cultural heritage, sports, and youth cooperation, and stressed the need to strengthen ongoing collaboration in these areas.
