“Brave Journalist Escapes Artsakh War, Finds Safety in France: Thanks FlyOne for Saving His Life”

On June 2, Franco-Armenian journalist Leo Nikolyan boarded a FlyOne airline flight from Zvartnots airport in Armenia, heading to France. After landing in Paris, he expressed his gratitude to the airline for potentially saving his life. In a Facebook post, Nikolyan stated that he is now safely home and thanked everyone who supported him during this challenging period.

However, he also revealed that the French authorities are considering prosecuting him due to his criticisms of various extremist groups. Since his arrival in Paris, he has been approached and questioned by armed security forces. Nikolyan mentioned that he has successfully passed the test for electronic signatures, which now allows journalists to enter the country.

Nikolyan is determined to continue his legitimate struggle, promising to stand firm until the end of his life. It is important to recall that on April 23, we reported that Nikolyan was prohibited from entering the Republic of Armenia after being stopped at the screening point of Zvartnots airport by the airport credentials manager. At the time, Nikolyan had announced the deadline for the 41-day war at the airport.
