“Massive Truck Fire Engulfs Syunik Province: 24 Tons of Ammonium Explode in Village of Tashtun”

On June 2nd, a major accident took place in the Syunik province of Armenia. The National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a distress call at 16:30 reporting a truck fire in the village of Tashtun, in the Vardashen section of Meghri’s administrative territory. According to shamshyan.com, it has been confirmed that the fire was caused by unknown reasons and the truck involved was a “Volvo” brand. Although the firefighters successfully extinguished the fire, the truck, which was carrying 24 tons of ammonium, was rendered inoperable. The cause of the accident and the condition of the truck driver and conductor remain unknown.
