Israeli forces have conducted airstrikes on several villages in southern and eastern Lebanon, resulting in the injury of 16 children, according to Middle East Eye. The Islamic Committee for Healthcare reported that a group of children aged between 4 and 14 were injured in the village of Siddiqin on Saturday. The Lebanese government’s official news agency announced that several injuries, including 7 children, were reported as a result of Israel’s airstrikes on Saturday. The city of Binjbeil was also hit during the night, causing damage to part of its old market. Local media outlets have released photos showing the impact of the airstrikes on shops, buildings, and houses. Israel has intensified its airstrikes in Lebanon since Friday, using advanced weapons. The Israeli army stated that over the past 72 hours, more than 40 airstrikes have targeted the positions of Hezbollah’s “armed units” in Lebanon.
