Over 1,700 individuals have fallen ill from food poisoning at the “Crocodile’s Coat” restaurant in Moscow, according to the Ministry of Health. The culprits behind the food poisoning have been identified. Healthcare professionals have stated that more than 1,700 people sought medical attention, with over 800 of them requiring hospitalization. Extensive inspections have been conducted, with the collection of over 65 samples from the restaurant. To address this issue, numerous lawsuits have been filed, including medical, legal, molecular-genetic, forensic-expert, engineering-technical, architectural, and construction suits. The Russian Consumer Rights Protection Committee has also dispatched experts to provide support. Various investigative and organizational measures have been implemented to determine the causes of the widespread contamination.

To aid in the investigation, the Russian Federation’s Investigative Committee has sent eight inquiries for assistance. The court documents contain clear evidence that clarifies all the details of the criminal activity.

The investigation spokesperson emphasized, “No information that could disrupt the orderly progress of the investigation has been included in the materials presented in court or given to the prosecution authorities.”
