CDU Takes Drastic Measures to Fend off Relentless Cyber Attacks and Espionage Threats, Closes IT Infrastructure

Germany’s ruling coalition party, the Christian Democratic Union (CDU), has made the decision to shut down a portion of its IT infrastructure in response to the growing threat of cyber attacks and hacking, as reported by Reuters. The Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) in Germany issued a statement acknowledging that the CDU network has been targeted by numerous cyber attacks. The BSI further stated that these attacks have been utilized to gather sensitive information, conduct espionage, and potentially disrupt the CDU’s operations.
