Yerevan Joins EurAsian Economic Union 14 Times, Enjoys Trade Boost, Russian PM Reveals

Yerevan has joined the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEC) 14 times, according to an interview with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin on the “Russia-24” TV channel. Mishustin stated that, despite the negative impact of the pandemic, all five member countries are benefiting from their participation in the Eurasian Economic Union. The removal of customs barriers has led to a significant increase in foreign trade turnover, with Armenia experiencing a 14-fold increase in exports to the EAEU, while Belarus and Kazakhstan have multiplied their imports, and Kyrgyzstan has doubled their trade volume.
