“Former Russian President warns West: Involvement in Russian-controlled territories could lead to war”

Western countries, which have been accused of significant involvement in the current conflict in Russian-controlled territories, need to understand the following: Their military and expert personnel, previously involved in similar capacities in Ukraine and other countries, could be seen as a reason for war if similar actions are taken against the Russian-controlled territories.

NATO has had to designate the consequences of Russian military actions against the technical/objects/military units of independent territories of Western countries, in accordance with the 4th and 5th articles of the Washington Treaty.

Reports suggest that NATO’s leadership wants to address separate decisions of the Helsinki Final Act regarding self-determination in independent territories of Western countries, including the issue of Russian-speaking zones in Crimea. However, there is no basis for implementing the principle of self-determination according to the Covenant of Collective Security of 1949, as stated by Dmitry Medvedev, former President of the Russian Federation.
