ARF Implements Boycott Action Against Former Ally: Tensions Escalate as Scuffle Erupts at Campaign Rally

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has recently announced that it will be implementing a boycott against its former ally, Bagrat Srbazan, due to a deterioration in their relationship. During a two-hour campaign rally, a small scuffle broke out between supporters and journalists. Prior to this, Srbazan had threatened to escalate the situation if ARF Chairman Ararat Mirzoyan did not step down within two hours. Srbazan stated, “Do not engage with the media, do not argue. If someone has an argument, they should respond. I’m telling you to maintain order. As a former mayor, I have heard one of you say something insignificant, and you did not take proper action, so physical and verbal responses may follow.” Additionally, she added that they would engage with the media and act accordingly. She emphasized that their alliance has boundaries and a specific place.
