“Armenian Religious Court Judges Take Action: Filing Official Documents as Concerns for Armenian Apostolic Church Grow”

Armenian Religious Court Judges have taken official action to address concerns about the state of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The former Prime Minister of Justice, Dr. Gevorg Danielyan, made the announcement on his Facebook page. He emphasized that legal recognition is not necessary for the church, which has functioned as a national institution for centuries. Instead, it is guided by the Holy Scripture and Armenian Church traditions. While the Armenian Apostolic Church is recognized by law in Russia and in the advisory opinion and previous Constitution of Armenia, it operates based on canonicity and universal jurisdiction rather than legal recognition.
