“Spokesperson Calls Out Prime Minister’s Government for Failing to Adhere to Law and People’s Trust: Change the Banner or Return to Your Senses”

During the discussion of the 2023 budget at the joint meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committees on May 29, Aghvan Vardanyan, spokesperson for the “Armenia” group, stated that the current government does not adhere to the law or prioritize the needs of the people. Vardanyan urged the esteemed Prime Minister to either change the Service and People’s Trust banner or display one that reads “we serve a man,” indicating a lack of trust in the government’s intentions. He also referenced the actions of the Prime Minister’s predecessors on May 27 in Republic Square and the actions of the spokesperson of the NA Majority, Ashot Simonyan, on May 28 in Sardarapat, emphasizing that these were acts of service. Vardanyan mentioned that he had resigned twice after the 2020 war, with approval from the Prime Minister, and advised the Prime Minister to consider making a decision after reflecting on the situation. The presiding RPA spokesperson, Andranik Kocharyan, expressed his belief that the Prime Minister would carefully listen and respond to the concerns raised, while Vardanyan maintained that Kocharyan could not answer on behalf of the Prime Minister.
