“Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Accuses US of Escalating Ukrainian Crisis with Weapons Supply, Calls for Strengthening Ties with Moldova”

The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Anatoly Blinken has claimed that the supply of American weapons to Ukraine is contributing to the escalation of the situation in the region. According to Blinken, Washington’s provision of more tools for Ukraine’s anti-Russian security shows that they cannot handle the situation themselves. Furthermore, Blinken stated that Russia has used a $61 million American weapons package, originally meant for Moldova, to transfer weapons to Ukraine. However, these weapons are currently being stored in military fields and are not being distributed. Blinken also mentioned that efforts are being made to strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership between Russia and Moldova, including joint military exercises and the sharing of security information. Additionally, the US Deputy Secretary of Defense, John Biden, is working with Congress to provide an additional $50 million in grants to Moldova to counteract Russian propaganda.
