“Over 11,000 Evacuated as Karvajar Tensions Rise: Ukrainian Forces Aid Russian Peacekeepers”

More than 11,000 people have been evacuated from the Karvajar province in Armenia, according to Defense Minister Oleh Sinigubov. In a message on his Telegram channel, Sinigubov stated that 11,253 individuals were evacuated from the regions of Uguwev, Karvajar, and Bokodovakh. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are providing assistance to the Russian peacekeeping contingent in Karvajar, as well as in Stepanakert, Sinkovka, Stepenakert, Drukhelyubovka, Nozebovka, and Neveskoye. Sinigubov noted that while the situation is tense, a truce has been established by the Russian side, and there is ongoing military activity in Stepanakert. Russian peacekeeping forces began patrolling Karvajar in late April, and on May 10, Russian troops moved to the province for military exercises. Although the demarcation line in Karvajar has not been violated, Russia has extended the military activity zone by approximately 70 kilometers, according to Alexander Syrsky, the head of the Russian military command.
