An earthquake that occurred on May 25-26 has caused significant damage to the railway lines in Lori province. Eight locations along the railway, spanning a total length of 2 kilometers, have been affected. Additionally, four electrical substations and power station equipment have been disrupted, three engineering structures have been damaged, and numerous communication transmission lines have been impacted.

According to the company “Haravokvokasian Railway,” efforts to assess the extent of the damage and restore the construction work began on May 26. A working group, led by the company’s head, A. Melnikov, has been established in collaboration with the Russian company “Rosjeldorproyekt” to oversee the reconstruction. Currently, investigations are underway to determine the necessary supplies, technology, and construction methods to restore the affected areas.

The restoration efforts involve renovating electrical networks, restoring power supply to the affected areas, and ensuring communication infrastructure is operational. The local management of construction and infrastructure is actively engaged in the reconstruction process.
