On May 27, a tragic car accident took place in the Ararat Province of Armenia. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reported that the local authorities were informed about a traffic accident on Yerevanyan Street in Aygek Village at around 21:50. The driver of an unidentified vehicle hit a pedestrian and fled the scene. Unfortunately, the victim, Surik Avetisyan, a 52-year-old resident of the Ararat Province, was left injured and without any assistance. Tragically, the injuries sustained by the pedestrian were fatal.

Authorities have launched an investigation, and the forensic departments are currently conducting operational and investigative actions to determine the identity of the driver responsible for the accident and the vehicle involved.
