“Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan expresses concern over Bagrat Srabazan’s sacrificial act: ‘Political forces should have taken charge'”

I am disappointed with Bagrat Srabazan’s decision to sacrifice himself. During an interview on May 28th, Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan expressed his own unhappiness with this choice. He stated that there should have been political forces willing to address the matter, but since there were none, Srabazan took it upon himself to make this sacrifice. However, Mikael Srabazan clarified that he believes his brother is not truly sacrificing himself, but rather stepping out of his spiritual shelter and presenting himself as a sacrifice. When asked to explain what it means to sacrifice oneself spiritually, Mikael Srabazan stated that it involves remaining mentally committed, while not necessarily taking spiritual action, but being prepared to do so when the time is right.
