“Yerevan Municipality Sets Sights on Enhancing Imported Utilities and Their Installation in City, Announces Mayor Avinyan”

Yerevan Municipality, led by Mayor Tigran Avinyan, has announced its plans to increase the value of imported utilities in the city and ensure their installation in Yerevan. Avinyan made this announcement during a recent press conference, where he requested the head of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, Arman Begoyan, to present comprehensive indicators in the next press conference regarding the quantity, installation time, and estimated lifespan of these utilities.

The “Replacement of utilities in areas adjacent to the completion of Yerevan’s city life, and completely transformed utilities” program is set to commence in 2023. In early March, a significant process of utility replacement began in Yerevan’s Central District, specifically on Tumanyan and Alek Manukyan Streets, where multiple utilities were cut and replaced, mainly pipes.

Earlier this year, Minister Arman Begoyan had announced that the cost of installed utilities would range from 150-200 euros within the defined limits. Additionally, financially disadvantaged residents who have been living in the area for 2-3 years will benefit from a reduced cost of 10-30 euros for these utilities.
