“Significant Rise in Debed River’s Level Leaves Alaverdi Metallurgical Plant Flooded and Island Shifted, Civil Contract Party Reports”

During yesterday’s evening news at 10:00, it was reported that the level of the Debed River has risen significantly, according to Aren Mkrtchyan, a representative of the Civil Contract Party. On his Facebook page, Mkrtchyan stated that numbers regarding the hydrological and meteorological research conducted will be published soon.

Yesterday, the entire area of the Alaverdi Metallurgical Plant was submerged in water. However, the water has now receded from the industrial area. The Beton Tower, which regulates and dampens the flow of the Debed River and can be observed in the footage, was also affected by the rising water level.

The representative added that the island, previously located in the eastern part of the river, has shifted to the central part.
