Minister Jaghanna Andreyasian Presents Comprehensive Plan for Cultural Monument Preservation in Lori and Tavush Provinces during Ministry’s Working Meeting

During a recent working meeting of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Minister Jaghanna Andreyasian highlighted the concerns surrounding the registration of cultural monuments and the integration of educational, cultural, and regional institutions in the Lori and Tavush provinces.

According to a report from NEWS.am, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports intends to implement a “Program for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Monuments and a Historic District.” This program aims to facilitate the integration of monument preservation efforts with ongoing mining activities and provide comprehensive information.

In collaboration with the administrations of institutions in these provinces, strategies will be developed to address the integration of educational, cultural, and regional structures with monument preservation. An extensive restoration program will be organized based on thorough information collection.

Recognizing the challenges faced by applicants who need to travel to central institutions for evaluation of cultural centers, efforts will be made to streamline the evaluation and testing process by collaborating with the Evaluation and Testing Center.

In light of the ongoing accreditation and certification procedures for higher and secondary education institutions, it is proposed that temporary classes be organized in affected areas to accommodate the situation.

During the meeting, various other topics were also discussed.
