“Mental Strain Deepens for Pashinyan’s Government Amid Escalating Protests”

The current protests in Armenia are taking a toll on the mental state of Pashinyan’s government. Avetik Chalabyan, a member of the Pre-Investigation Committee of the Revolution in Armenia, addressed concerns about the possibility of violence during Nikol Pashinyan’s visit to Sardarapat. Chalabyan acknowledged that while it is impossible to rule out the use of force by the police to end the demonstration, it is crucial to protect ourselves from violence. The purpose of these demonstrations is to show Pashinyan that his exhausted government should not try to silence protests through force. Unfortunately, violence has become their signature, as seen in the beatings during Pashinyan’s visit to Yerevan.

Furthermore, Chalabyan highlighted that the protests are also a problem for Pashinyan himself. When someone leaves the platform and the crowd approaches, he must face the questions and not try to escape. Chalabyan believes that if Pashinyan engages in such discussions, it is only for the benefit of his team and to maintain his reputation. Unlike the robotic actions of the policemen, Pashinyan has the opportunity to engage, write, and send messages. Therefore, it is essential for everyone to set a good example and engage in peaceful demonstrations.
