Prime Minister Pashinyan Takes Action in Flooded Areas: Assesses Damage and Provides Urgent Assistance

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently visited the communities of Alaverdi and Tashir in Lori province to assess the impact of flooding caused by rivers. This visit was organized by the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. During the visit, the Head of the Operational Headquarters, Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, Ara Ghazaryan, and the Chief of the RA NSS Rescue Service, Kamo Chuchulyan, provided updates on the ongoing work and assistance being provided to the affected population. Evacuation of affected areas, road clearing, housing, and other measures to address the consequences of the disaster are currently underway.

The Prime Minister has instructed officials to quickly assess the needs of the affected population and provide necessary assistance in a timely manner. Additionally, an assessment of the damage caused by the flooding will be conducted, and programs will be implemented to mitigate the consequences of the disaster. Importantly, all these efforts are being coordinated at the crisis management center of the government to ensure effective response and management of the situation.

In another visit, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also traveled to the Tavush region to gain a firsthand understanding of the challenges faced by affected families along the Hrazdan-Ijevan highway. Emergency relief work is currently underway in that area to ensure smooth traffic flow on the road.
