Iran’s Power Leaders Convene in Mashhad to Discuss Early Presidential Elections
The heads of Iran’s three branches of power, namely the executive, legislative, and judicial branches, met in Mashhad on Saturday to discuss the upcoming early presidential elections on June 28. This meeting followed the assassination of President Abrahim Raisi. The temporary President Mohamad Mohsaber, the Speaker of the Parliament Mohamamd Bagher Ghalibaf, and the Chief of Judiciary Ebrahim Raisi were in attendance, along with the head of the internal affairs department of the Supreme Leader, Ahmad Vahid. During the meeting, the officials emphasized the importance of cooperation in carrying out internal affairs, particularly in relation to the elections.
