“Rebirth from the Ashes: Holy See’s Sanctuary Elements Return to Notre-Dame Cathedral, Cross Installed in Majestic Ceremony”

The elements of the sanctuary of the Holy See, which were saved from the fire at Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris in 2019, are being returned to their rightful place, according to a report by Le Parisien. Yesterday, the only preserved element of the cathedral’s spire, the cross, was installed. This cross was designed by architect Ejen Emanel Viole and made by Duc. It is a remarkable piece of work, spanning twenty-two meters in width and weighing two tons. Constructed from wood and adorned with exquisite golden elements, it holds great significance. Before the cross was installed, a religious ceremony of blessing was conducted by the rector and archbishop of the Holy See Cathedral, Olivier Ribadu Duma.
