Special investigations are currently underway in the office of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia regarding embezzlement of property by officials in the customs service. Based on preliminary data, legal actions are being taken to seize forged documents and significant amounts of money and assets. According to recent information, individuals M.Sh and V.S are suspected of embezzling a Chevrolet Lacetti 1.4 vehicle, which was released in 2010 and valued at AMD 1,935,000. The illicit movement of the vehicle took place on January 12, 2024, when V.S provided false information about its export. This allowed M.G to sell the vehicle illegally. Consequently, M.G is being investigated for misuse of authority and significant property damage, as outlined in relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The investigation is ongoing.
