The first group of Ukrainian pilots has successfully completed training courses to operate American F-16 fighters in the United States, as reported by Politico. The training took place at Tucson’s 162nd Air Defense Base. The exact number of pilots trained has not been disclosed due to security reasons. Erin Henigan, a representative from Arizona’s National Guard, stated that this achievement marks a significant milestone towards Ukraine’s acquisition of F-16 aircraft. According to Politico, the newly trained pilots will now undergo additional training in Europe. Previously, it was known that around ten Ukrainian military personnel had completed maintenance training courses for military helicopters in the Netherlands.
