On May 24, 2024, the President of the Constitutional Court, Arman Dilanyan, welcomed the US Ambassador and Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia, Christina Kuenen, and the US Department of Justice Resident Legal Advisor, John Allelo. The President praised the US justice assistance programs in the field of constitutional justice, specifically mentioning the judicial institutional reforms, court building construction, and promotion of the rule of law.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the need for the development of Armenian-American “Judicial Diplomacy.” This visit was made possible by the approval of the RA Law on International Treaties by the RA NA, which regulates meetings in the United States Court of Appeals and judicial cooperation.

It’s worth noting that such visits provide an excellent opportunity for cooperation and dialogue between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia and the United States Court of Appeals, aiming to enhance and activate cooperation between the two institutions. The meeting also addressed various issues of mutual interest and raised several controversial questions.
