The international court of the Minsk Group has called on Israel to cease military operations in the Gaza Strip. However, they did not order a complete cessation of fire throughout the country, as the African Union had requested during the recent hearings reported by Euronews.

This demand for a ceasefire is a response to the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, for which Israel is being blamed. Israel, on the other hand, strongly denies these allegations. While it may take years for the court to reach a final decision, immediate measures are being sought to provide temporary protection for the Palestinians.

Experts believe that Israel is hesitant to accept the court’s decision as it would imply recognition of the court’s jurisdiction over the country. The indictment of Israeli operations in the Gaza Strip is growing, even from its closest ally, the US. While Israel has stated that it will not hesitate to protect its citizens and neutralize threats in the Gaza Strip, it has also announced that it will not use force to do so and will withdraw from the area.
