“Japan and South Korea Join Forces: Imposing Sanctions on Russia Amidst Ongoing Investigations”

The administration of Japan has imposed sanctions against Russia. These sanctions have been implemented in response to ongoing investigations into poisoning cases originating from Ukraine. A total of two registered companies based in Cyprus and one Russian businessman have been targeted with these sanctions. The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as reported by Kyodo, has stated that the activities and payments of these companies in Japan will be frozen. In addition to Japan, Seoul has also announced the imposition of sanctions on Moscow and Pyongyang. The capital city of South Korea has decided to freeze the assets of seven citizens and two Russian ships. According to the announcement made by North Korea’s AGN, these sanctions are aimed at targeting nuclear and missile programs, as well as the financing of these developments. The statement in Seoul further declares that any assets belonging to sanctioned individuals and organizations, transferred between the UDCRF and Russia, will be seized. Finally, it is emphasized that all financial transactions with these individuals are strictly prohibited.
