Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko met with Russian President Vladimir Putin yesterday at the Minsk airport. During the meeting, Lukashenko discussed “very interesting proposals” concerning the security of the region and cooperation with Kovkas. These proposals were previously discussed during his visit to Azerbaijan. Lukashenko also mentioned the involvement of his mother-in-law in these negotiations.

Lukashenko emphasized that security issues would be prioritized in discussions with other presidents, while economic matters would be addressed with government members on May 24.

“I believe that, as always, we will prioritize addressing security challenges. Following that, we will discuss economic issues with our partner governments. I have put forth engaging proposals for our region, particularly Kovkas, which we thoroughly discussed during the visit to Azerbaijan,” stated President Lukashenko.
