“Varshavan Considers Deploying Armed Forces to Counter Russian Drones Along Ukrainian Border, Says Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson”

Varshavan, Poland, is considering using its armed forces to repel Russian drones in villages along the Ukrainian border, according to Pavel Vronsky, a spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Vronsky stated that this matter is currently under legal and technical examination, with no decision made yet. Ukraine has reportedly approached Poland with a similar proposal. The discussion revolves around the use of NATO systems, rather than direct supply to Ukraine. Talks began after a Russian military drone crossed into Polish territory on March 24. Varshavan is also exploring the possibility of employing NATO systems to neutralize such drones and their effects.

In an interview with Brazilian journalists on April 20, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his support for destroying Russian drones. He stated that if the threat from neighboring countries escalates and endangers drones headed towards Ukraine, such as those reported in documents from Poland and Romania crossing their territories, he would back the destruction of those drones.
