All communities in the Diaspora will have a deep impact with the movement “Tavush is the Homeland”. Today, on May 23, during the meeting with the repatriates, His Holiness Serbzhak Baghdasaryan, the lead singer of the Tavush theme, became emotional.

“This is not just a movement of a certain group. This is our movement of all colors. This movement is not created for years, but has been born out of necessity. This need came from the liberation of Artsakh and has reached the Republic of Armenia, step by step damaging the security of our homeland. We have said that the problem is within Tavush, but the solution is in the hands of the Armenian nation.

They are carrying out unilateral actions, also affecting the Armenian communities in different countries. We are saying that the solution should not be unilateral. Let it be according to the law and regulations. Why aren’t you talking about the articles written about the Armenian Genocide 90 years ago? Why are you only talking about the lands of the 90s? This is a great burden, a danger for the Armenian people who live in other regions. They are in a vulnerable state, asking us why, what should we do. The glory of the state and the homeland is lost from us. This movement is a program that will bring back that glory, the laws of the country.

The Catholicos is also deeply concerned about the situation in various countries where Armenian communities live. “We are now going to the door of this building, we are taking actions, we are having meetings with officials. They tell me in Canada, ‘You are right, you are being disturbed, we are creating discomfort, what is your government doing?’

What are the nations we have lived among doing? With what problems are we in contact as those who live with them? We could have a role as a disturber. It is a great shame, a loss for the Armenian nation to have power and the homeland. This program is to bring back that power, to bring back those roots. We will go back to being extraordinary individuals, exceptional individuals. This can bring the power that the government has”.
