It is necessary for countries, including the United States, to strengthen their national defenses in order to protect their national interests. This opinion was expressed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, in an interview with the country’s national broadcaster.

“I believe that our team understands that the first step should be the recognition of the need for the US to strengthen its national defense. The United Nations Member States and the European Union as a whole can also participate in this defense, ensuring better protection of their own national interests. Therefore, both the United Nations and the European Union, as well as the United States and the entire European Union’s defenses,” Kobakhidze said.

According to the Prime Minister, there is currently a major challenge in terms of countries’ self-defense. “We are hopeful and believe that in the coming years, the European Union will be able to free itself from this vulnerable position and will have the support of both the EU and the United States in terms of defense,” the Prime Minister said.
