The government has officially approved the results of the election for the board of the “National Academy of Fine Arts of Armenia” foundation, which took place on May 23. The Minister of Culture, Janna Andreesyan, announced that the position of chairman of the board was filled through a competition on May 6, 2024, and Vardan Azatyan was elected for a five-year term. Azatyan, an art critic and curator with over 20 years of experience in art education, is seen as a positive addition to the development of practical work in the field of art. Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Azatyan and expressed his wishes for success.
