Outrage as Armenian Parliament Member Avoids Corruption Investigation: Zhoghovurd Newspaper Reveals Controversial Exemption
According to “Zhoghovurd” newspaper, the RA Prosecutor’s Office has invited Artur Khachatryan, a member of the “Armenia” parliamentary faction, to discuss corruption investigations. However, the disciplinary committee did not invite Khachatryan to the investigative committee, claiming he is overburdened and cannot attend. It should be noted that Khachatryan was questioned by the RA Prosecutor’s Office regarding the abuse of power case in Yerevan-Sevan administrative district. The main judge informed Khachatryan about the incident, where a group of people, without any formal requirement, displayed rebellious behavior, shouted and swore, and used a judiciary vehicle to travel to the Kotayk region. The order was issued by Ruben Davtyan, the head of the regional administration, who did not identify himself. Khachatryan expressed his concern about this violation of justice and hopes that it will not go unpunished. For more information, read today’s issue of the newspaper.
