“Rumors Swirl as Bagrat Srbazan’s Potential Candidacy for Prime Minister Emerges, Sparks Constitutional Debate”

This is a rumor that Bagrat Srbazan may be appointed as Prime Minister. During a meeting with journalists at the National Assembly on May 21, President of the National Assembly Alen Simonyan mentioned the possibility of being appointed as the Prime Minister by CPP. However, according to the constitution, Bagrat Srbazan is ineligible to be appointed as Prime Minister and present a candidacy.

When questioned about the response of the authorities regarding the publication, Alen Simonyan emphasized the need to determine if it violates the constitution. He referred to it as unconstitutional if that is the case.

Reporters brought up the fact that courts have been blocked off at Pashinyan’s request, to which Simonyan responded by questioning whether the gathering of people near the court signifies a constitutional order. According to him, this is not a topic that is being discussed. He expressed surprise at the notion that one individual can make decisions. Simonyan further added that there is a lack of intelligence and legal action taken in the presence of the authorities. However, he stated that they are pleased with the political processes taking place in Armenia.
