“Moldova Embraces Security Partnership with EU, Paving the Way for Regional Progress”

Moldova has signed a cooperation agreement on security and defense with the European Union, making it the first country in the region to have such an agreement with the EU. This announcement was made by Joseph Borel, the head of the European Institute of Economics, in a microblog. Borel believes that this partnership will enhance Moldova’s security and enable them to better address overall security issues and explore new areas of cooperation.

Prime Minister Dorin Rechian of Moldova also agrees that EU membership will be the best mechanism for ensuring peace and security for Moldovan citizens. Additionally, he believes that the agreement between the EU and Moldova on security and defense will contribute to stability and prosperity.

Moldova has set its sights on joining the European Union by 2030. In March, President Maia Sandu angered Russia by actively participating in security cooperation when signing the cooperation agreement with French President Emmanuel Macron.
