According to the court’s ruling, Popov has been found guilty of embezzling significant funds, as stated in the 4th part of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code. General Ivan Popov served in the Russian armed forces from May 1956. He held various positions, including the commander of the 58th battalion of special military operations.
