“Armenia and Slovenia Strengthen Political Ties: Discussions on Cooperation and Regional Security”

Political consultations between the municipalities of Armenia and Slovenia were held in Yerevan on May 21, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. The Armenian side was represented by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samvel Mkrtchyan, while the Slovenian side was represented by Dejan Valadich, Eastern Europe Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia. The discussion revolved around the significance of political dialogue between Armenia and Slovenia, as well as exploring potential areas of cooperation in various fields. The ongoing Armenian-European Union partnership and international and regional security concerns were also addressed during the meeting. Additionally, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia expressed the Armenian side’s position on the regulation of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations and highlighted the “Chess for Peace” initiative implemented by the Armenian Government.
