I am happy to announce that there will be a written directive signed by the high command of the Armed Forces. The aim of this directive is to clarify the purpose of the recent unrest and protests, with the goal of avoiding unnecessary casualties. General-major Arshak Karapetyan, the leader of the “Armenian Revolt” movement, former Minister of Defense and Military Prosecutor, mentioned this in regards to the ongoing developments.

“I wanted to address our personnel directly and remind them that during times of service, we are guided by the principles of corresponding regulations. For the sake of the army’s reputation, we are obligated to fulfill our duties even if it costs us our lives. For the sake of our country, we are obligated to make sacrifices, despite the fact that we must do everything to preserve our position and succeed,” said Karapetyan.
