On May 16, 2024, at 22:55, a report by “ArtaSat BK” stated that a young man had been brought to their location with symptoms of a snakebite. On the same day, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia received a report that a person with snakebite symptoms had been found in the village of Vostan. The emergency response team quickly arrived at the scene where it was discovered that the patient transferred from the hospital, H.K., is a resident of the village of Vostan, and the patient with snakebite symptoms, V.V., is from the city of Artashat.

The RA Investigative Committee has released an official statement stating that a preliminary investigation will be conducted based on the incident, in accordance with several articles of the RA Criminal Code. The incident took place in the central square of the village of Vostan in Armenia. Initial information suggests that H.K. attempted to leave the country, leading to his arrest. He has been taken into custody and questioned regarding the incident, providing crucial information for the investigation. Both V.V. and H.K. are suspected of attacking each other with firearms.

During the confrontation, various weapons including vehicles such as the “VAZ 2106” and “VAZ 2121,” knives, a revolver with snakebite serum, and evidence of gunshot wounds were discovered. The investigating authorities have interrogated over twenty individuals and documented several attempted actions.

Based on the testimony of reliable witnesses, H.K., a resident of Vostan, has been charged with attempted murder under specific articles of the RA Criminal Code. The court has decided to keep him in custody to prevent escape during the ongoing preliminary investigation.
