The plane carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was forced to make an emergency landing as it was returning to Iran from the Khoda Afarin region in the Adrebejan Province. The plane had been heading back after the opening of a border checkpoint with Adrebejan. Fortunately, members of the presidential entourage were able to establish contact with the residential complex’s command center, which may have prevented a potential plane crash. The officials and security personnel were successfully transferred to another plane. However, the situation in the area remains uncertain due to the presence of a local criminal group.
