Children’s Health at Risk: Stomach Ailments in Classrooms Linked to Hazardous Substances, Human Rights Defender Calls for Action

In some classrooms, children have experienced stomach ailments caused by the consumption of hazardous substances. These incidents have resulted in harm to the children, crossing boundaries that should not be crossed. Even the school system has been unable to adequately protect these children from such dangers. On May 18, the Human Rights Defender, Arman Tatoyan, addressed this issue and expressed his concern for the well-being of these children.

The Human Rights Defender highlighted the gravity of the situation, stating that even newborns have been affected by these harmful substances, denying them their reproductive rights. He urged those responsible to take action and ensure the protection of children. He questioned the motives behind the actions or lack thereof, and implored individuals to reconsider their priorities. It is crucial to defend the minds and well-being of these affected individuals, especially the children who are most vulnerable.

The Human Rights Defender repeated his call for action, stressing the need for those in positions of authority to take responsibility for their negligence. He emphasized that the outcome of their actions, or inaction, could have severe consequences not only for the individuals involved but also for Armenia as a whole. The need to prioritize the protection of the affected individuals and hold those responsible accountable was paramount in his message.
