“Closed Meeting Reveals Controversial Findings on Interim Director’s Conduct at National Bureau of Trials”

On May 17, a closed meeting took place at the National Bureau of Trials of the RA Judicial Department. The meeting involved the leadership and personnel of the organization, as well as invited participants who presented the preliminary findings of their research. According to reports, out of the 125 participants, 121 were involved in studying the work conducted by interim director ARgam Hovsepyan. Among the participants was Gagik Margaryan, chief legal advisor of Anna Vardapetyan, head judge of the RA Court of Cassation.

During the competition for the director position at the National Bureau of Trials, an attempt was made to involve expert lawyer Hrayr Tsaturyan, who had previously served as deputy to head judge Artak Hovsepyan. Tsaturyan received one vote from the participants. Another participant, Garik Aghabekyan, also received one vote from the experts.

The competition required participants to meet certain criteria, including presenting the staff of the organization in accordance with legal requirements, having professional experience in research, possessing high professional qualifications, being under the age of 65, having relevant work experience, fitting into the organization’s culture, and passing a scientific qualification exam.

The selection process for the head of the Department of Research and Management of the Agency for Research of Experimental Research will take place on May 30. The management body of the research organization includes representatives from several departments and the National Academy of Sciences of the RA.
