“Leader of ‘Civil Contract’ Party Raises Concerns: Nikol Pashinyan’s Safety Threatened Amid Political Turmoil”

Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation will not come easily, according to Shant Harutyunyan, the leader of the “Civil Contract” party, in an interview with NEWS.am. Harutyunyan claims that when Pashinyan went to Moscow, Putin assured him that he was the legitimate prime minister and could do as he wished. However, Putin’s signature on a document, to be signed on November 9, is crucial, which the Russians are emphasizing heavily. If this condition is met, Pashinyan will also participate in the 2021 elections in May. Additionally, there was an attempt to create a gap near the Black Sea, with the intention of placing blame on Pashinyan once it was opened. However, the actions of the US and France prevented this, forcing Putin to change his decision and allow Pashinyan to proceed.

Harutyunyan reveals that Pashinyan, a former KGB agent, was assigned the task in 2018 to resolve the Karabakh issue and the issue of the Syunik region as a package deal. The intention was for Pashinyan to become a “spy” and be eliminated. Ultimately, the KGB would take power, but with no connection to Pashinyan.

Harutyunyan firmly believes that the current situation is the final stage, with attempts being made to eliminate Pashinyan. He states that he is in Moscow with 200,000 people on the streets, with Pashinyan among them. He warns that any attempt to harm Pashinyan will be framed as him resorting to violence, despite being someone who is dedicated to taking every necessary step for the good of his country. Harutyunyan describes Pashinyan as a saintly figure with no selfish motives, working towards creating positive norms for himself and his country.

Furthermore, Harutyunyan expresses his belief in the importance of values, emphasizing that not enough focus is placed on them. He argues that discussions should center on subjective, human values rather than solely national values. He asserts that corruption is unacceptable and must be eradicated. Harutyunyan warns that if the issue of values remains unresolved within the system, it can lead to further transformations and even more challenging times, as experienced in 2018.
