On the night of May 14-15, a special operation was carried out by a law enforcement agency to dismantle an illegal armed group. This information was announced by the “Five Protectors” initiative. The announcement also revealed that Ishkhan Ghevorgyan, an active member of the organization, was arrested, along with at least 5 civilian participants of the movement called “Tavush is the Wall of Fatherland”. The detainees were provided protection by Ararat Harutyunyan, who is an authorized representative of the freedom organization.

The charges against them include the intention to use violence against civilian individuals, which was discovered during personal investigations. It should be noted that the civilians were not detained, but rather taken into custody.

According to the announcement, the violent acts committed by the individuals involved are part of the organizational structure of the illegal armed formation. However, these acts do not meet the criteria for an internal armed conflict as defined by the conditions of political power’s municipal governance.
